Which MLS teams will reach MLS Cup in 2019?

The sport is booming in MLS.

Last season, the league added three more teams and added an additional six in 2019.

There are already six teams in the league, and the expansion of teams in 2019 means the league is in a position to add a sixth team.

With that, the question remains: Which teams will be added in 2019 to the league’s top 10?

Here are the ten teams that have the potential to make the leap to MLS Cup this year.

1.

LA Galaxy 2.

Colorado Rapids 3.

Seattle Sounders 4.

New York Red Bulls 5.

New England Revolution 6.

Portland Timbers 7.

Montreal Impact 8.

Orlando City SC 9.

Chicago Fire 10.

New Orleans Saints In the wake of the Orlando City-Atlanta United match last year, the Galaxy will be the first MLS team to face each other since 2014.

That’s a pretty significant milestone for a franchise that was founded in 2009 and has never won a championship.

Los Angeles will play a rematch of the 2017 MLS Cup final, when the Galaxy played the Atlanta United side in Orlando.

Both teams are undefeated at home this season, with only one loss.

Orlando has a two-game lead on the Fire for the top spot in the Western Conference with four games left.

LA won the last meeting 4-0 on July 10, but Atlanta was eliminated by the eventual MLS Cup champions in a penalty shootout.

LA has a strong pedigree for the Cup, winning the MLS Cup four times and finishing the season with nine consecutive playoff appearances.

It is one of the most dominant teams in MLS, and will likely be favored to advance to the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs.

2.

Columbus Crew SC 3.

Montreal Strikers 4.

Real Salt Lake 5.

Seattle Reign FC 6.

FC Dallas 7.

Colorado Avalanche 8.

Portland Thorns 9.

Toronto FC 10.

Orlando Pride The Strikies have had a very good start to the season, having played two games this season against teams outside of the top 10, including the New York Cosmos.

That said, the Strikie has a lot of talent and a strong history of playoff success, and could make a strong push for the Supporters’ Shield.

Montreal is looking to finish as high as sixth in the Eastern Conference and have the best record in the East.

The club has an impressive record of four straight wins, and it’s hard to imagine them not making the playoffs.

The Reign have had some ups and downs this season.

After a slow start to play, the team has looked dominant, but is still far from a playoff contender.

The Colorado Rapids have been solid for most of the season and are currently in a playoff position with a win over FC Dallas on Sunday.

However, the club is struggling mightily in front of a sellout crowd, and they are looking to get back to the MLS playoffs.

Real has been a solid team for most years and could be looking for a third straight playoff berth.

Portland has been disappointing so far, but they have a strong team in the NWSL with an undefeated record.

The Thorns have a solid record in front on the fans, but will be looking to add to their playoff record this season as they look to get past Washington this weekend.

The Red Bulls are looking for their third straight win and could very well be favored in the playoffs if they win out against the Washington Spirit.

Orlando is looking for its second straight win, and is still looking to make a playoff run.

Portland is the defending champion of MLS, but has a history of falling short of the playoffs, including a loss to Seattle in the last playoff spot.

Colorado has been on a roll in recent weeks and is now looking to build on last year’s success with a solid result against the Seattle Sounders.

FC Orlando is still a wildcard team with a lot to prove.

Orlando will be trying to make its first playoff appearance since 2013, and are looking like a team that will have to take care of business against Washington on Sunday afternoon.

New Jersey has been an outstanding team this season and could prove to be a contender for the 2019 title.

Seattle is the reigning Eastern Conference champion and could win out if they beat the New England Revs on Sunday, but their playoff chances could be down.

Toronto is still the reigning MLS Cup champion and has been solid in front this season with two wins against Montreal and Seattle.

Vancouver has been one of those teams that just hasn’t been good enough to win a playoff spot this season but has the potential this year to make it.

Portland, Real, and Seattle are all looking to improve on last season’s playoff appearances, and should be able to do so with a strong result against Washington.

New Yorkers have been inconsistent this season (with two wins out of three games), but they are still in the playoff hunt with a road win against Seattle in Seattle last week.

Orlando should have a good chance to win out this season after winning back-to-back games against the Revs and Sounders, but the Rev’s playoff run could be
