The Chicago Bulls have suffered an early loss in their bid to win the MLS Cup for the first time in 11 years.
After falling to the Philadelphia Union 2-1 in the first leg of the Eastern Conference semifinal at Soldier Field, the Bulls fell to the Washington Spirit 1-0 in their second leg on Tuesday night.
A disappointing season for the club has seen Chicago sit at 12th place in the MLS standings and are the second-worst team in the league in terms of points conceded.
The club has also lost two of their last four games, with the lone win coming at the hands of FC Dallas on Saturday.
Despite the setbacks, the Chicago Fire are looking to bounce back and get back into the playoffs for the second time in three years.
On Wednesday night, the Fire are set to host the Colorado Rapids in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
