Which teams have the best potential to win MLS Cup?

Soccer fans around the world were treated to the best game of the season when Real Salt Lake beat the LA Galaxy, 2-0, in the 2017 MLS Cup final.

But while that was the best-case scenario, the reality is that there is no clear winner.

The top teams are still trying to find their way in the MLS Cup standings.

Here are the five teams that could be the best contenders in 2017: Real Saltlake, Portland Timbers, Columbus Crew SC, Real Salt B, LA Galaxy FC 1.

Portland Timbers The Timbers, a perennial playoff contender, have a chance to win the Western Conference with the win against FC Dallas in the first leg of their MLS Cup semifinal series.

With a home advantage of 6-2, the Timbers have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs.

The Timbers have had a solid run this season, having been on a roll since joining MLS in 2014.

The club has a strong roster, with captain Will Johnson, midfielder Diego Chara, defender Sam Cronin, midfielder Mauro Diaz, and striker Will Johnson among the leaders.

A lot of this could hinge on the performance of midfielder Kei Kamara, who had a terrific 2016 campaign and scored five goals in his first MLS season.

Kamara will be tested in this game.

Will Johnson is a solid defender who could be one of the top players in MLS with a strong year.

Will Keane, who missed the first half of the year with an ankle injury, could be a key player for the Timbers in 2017.

The two sides have some strong chemistry and it’s a good match-up for both teams.

The teams have played three times this season and the Portland Timbers won both times.

The match will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and be broadcast live on Fox Soccer.

Columbus Crew Soccer Columbus has won four straight and is now just one game away from being the top seed in the East.

The Columbus Crew has been on an incredible run this year, winning its first two matches of the 2017 season.

After coming out of the gate with a solid season, the club is in a good position to make the playoffs this year.

The Crew has a solid roster with star players like midfielder Federico Higuain, center back Chad Marshall, center midfielder Michael Parkhurst, midfielder Will Johnson and forward Wil Trapp, among others.

The team has also improved in some areas this year like defense and offense, which could make it a tough out for any team in the West.

The winner of this match could have a good shot at a playoff spot.

New York Red Bulls 2.

New Jersey Devils The New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks met in the 2016 NCAA title game, and the teams were separated by three goals.

The Nets won the series 3-2 and earned the second seed in last year’s playoffs.

This time, the Nets will face a tough task to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

The last time the two teams met, the New Jersey squad was the No. 1 seed in a very tough conference.

It was the second year in a row the Nets made the postseason, but the Nets had a tough time of it last year.

New Jerseys could prove to be the difference between winning the conference and losing it.

The New York Devils have been a steady force for the past five seasons, but they’ve never been the same team in 2017, winning just five games in a span of just nine games.

The Devils won the division last year and will have to get better in the next two years if they want to make a run in the playoffs in 2017 and beyond.

Portland Thorns FC The Portland Thons won two games against Toronto FC in their inaugural season in MLS, including a 2-1 win in the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League semifinals.

In the 2017 regular season, Portland won all three matches against Toronto, the best of the three losses coming on penalties.

The Thons have a talented core with the likes of goalkeeper Cameron Lancaster, midfielders Sam Cronen, Liam Ridgewell, and Jack Mewis, and forwards Chris Odoi-Atsem, Dillon Powers, and Jordan Morris.

The players are all capable of contributing and they could all have an impact in 2017 if they are able to gel together and play together.

New England Revolution 4.

Atlanta United Atlanta United, a new team for MLS, is looking to make it five straight playoff appearances.

Atlanta has one of its top goalscorers in rookie midfielder Michael Harrington, who scored in the 3-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC in the Eastern conference semifinals last season.

The Revs also have experienced center backs in Justin Davis, Omar Gonzalez, and Tommy Thompson, as well as forwards Kyle Beckerman, Kelyn Rowe, and Brad Davis.

Atlanta is the team that has been able to build an excellent foundation for next season and beyond and could be in a great position to take down any MLS team in their league this year and beyond if they keep building up their roster.

New Orleans Saints 5
